Zodiac Casino opened in 2001 and belongs to Casino Rewards, the network of sixteen casinos described on our page about the group, and what sets it apart among its sisters is how little it asks to get in. Its terms (the international English version, updated on 20 July 2026 and read by us on 16 October 2026) set the minimum first deposit at one dollar, an amount that can change by country, like the rest of the offer.
This review asks what that dollar buys. Our answer, worked out below with a hypothetical player, is a set of spins on a jackpot wheel and a small balance of "bonus funds" (money that can be played but not withdrawn until a condition is met) tied to a play-through of two hundred times. In our view that multiple, more than the size of the entry, is the number to read first.
Who runs Zodiac Casino, and under which licence
Two companies appear on the site, and both names are worth reading. The footer of the home page says that the website is "owned and operated" by Apollo Entertainment Ltd (company C 45483, Ta' Xbiex, Malta), while the terms describe Zodiac as "a brand managed by" Fresh Horizons Limited, registered in the British Virgin Islands and licensed by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission under number 00972.
The certificate linked from the site (a "Certificate of Good Standing" of the Commission) names Fresh Horizons Ltd. as holder of a "Primary CPA", the permit granted to operators hosted in Kahnawake, held since 1 November 2000 and valid until 16 May 2029. The list of permit holders that the Commission publishes, which we consulted on 16 October 2026, shows the same company behind most sister brands, and the group also holds Malta Gaming Authority licences, which these terms do not cite.
The Ontario site, ontario.zodiac.casino, is separate: its terms name Apollo Entertainment Limited as operator under an "Internet Gaming Operator licence" of the AGCO (the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario); iGaming Ontario lists it among the regulated sites of the province. In August 2023 the AGCO served Apollo with a notice of monetary penalty over alleged breaches of responsible gambling rules, a precedent we set out on the group page.
What sets Zodiac Casino apart
What separates Zodiac from its sisters, apart from a name taken from the zodiac, is the size of the entry. Among the welcome offers listed on the Casino Rewards site on 16 October 2026 that name a first deposit, its own named the smallest (one sister, Casino Kingdom, advertised a "free chance" with no deposit at all), and the rest of the package covers the four deposits that follow.
A low entry suits a cautious newcomer, since opening a real account and sending the documents then cost almost nothing. It is also a marketing device, because the spins it buys are worth little in cash and much in hope.
The games
The catalogue is that of the group, on the "Apricot" platform (the former Microgaming platform) with games from Games Global, and the home page gives the progressive jackpots, the Mega Moolah family among them, a section of their own, warning that they are "not available in all regions". The wheel of the welcome offer, Mega Money Wheel, is itself a jackpot game, as the "jackpot top prize" named in the terms makes plain.
A networked "progressive" (a jackpot fed by a share of every bet placed at many casinos at once) pays less in ordinary wins than a comparable slot, because part of each stake feeds a pool that only the jackpot winner collects.
For a hypothetical player who stakes $200 on a slot returning 96 per cent and $200 on a progressive returning 90 per cent (two example figures; the real "RTP", or return to player, appears in the information screen of each game), the "house edge" (the share of each bet that a game keeps on average) costs him $8 on the first and $20 on the second. The difference of $12 is, in effect, the price of his ticket for the jackpot.
The table games are there as well, from blackjack to video poker. If you play mostly at the tables, though, the welcome offer will do little for you, since the terms count those games at 2 per cent towards the play-through, a weighting that we turn into numbers in the next section.
The welcome offer, and the condition to read first
The type of the offer is a very low first deposit that buys spins on a jackpot wheel (the terms call them "chances"), followed by a "match" on each of the next four deposits. The condition to read first is the "play-through" (the total of bets required before a bonus becomes cash), which the international terms set at 200 times for the bonuses of the first two deposits and at 30 times from the third; the winnings of the spins are credited as bonus funds, not as cash.
A hypothetical player whose spins leave $7 of bonus funds must place $1,400 in bets (two hundred times seven) before those seven dollars can be withdrawn. On a slot that returns 96 per cent, $1,400 of bets cost $56 on average, eight times the bonus they are meant to release!
At the blackjack table, where each bet counts at 2 per cent, the same $1,400 of play-through becomes $70,000 of bets! The terms also cap the stakes: a single bet of a quarter of the bonus or more is "irregular play", so $7 of bonus means bets below $1.75, and the "double-up" feature does not count at all.
There is one exception, and it explains the design. If the "top prize" of the wheel is credited as bonus funds, the terms let the player have it converted to cash by contacting support, a favour they grant for that prize only. In our reading, then, the dollar buys a ticket on the top prize and a small balance to play with, while the smaller wins of the spins remain, in practice, out of reach.
From the third deposit the condition falls to 30 times, which is gentler; it is not free, though, since a bonus of $25 then requires $750 in bets, whose average cost at 96 per cent ($30) is still larger than the bonus. Bonuses left unused expire 60 days after registration, and our page on wagering requirements explains the method behind these sums.

The operators listed on our pages address the international, non-regulated market and do not hold a licence in every country from which our readers arrive: before registering, it is the player's responsibility to check that the law of the country in which he or she is located allows playing with that operator.
Deposits, withdrawals and timings
The terms describe a "pending" period of 48 hours (a withdrawal waits and can still be reversed), followed by processing on the next business day, and they warn that limits vary by country and by method. The FAQ of the group adds a minimum withdrawal of fifty dollars for most methods, the first threshold that matters for an account opened with a very small deposit.
Two further clauses deserve attention. A withdrawal made while a bonus is running resets the bonus balance to zero, and one processed in a currency other than that of the account is converted at the interbank rate plus a fee of 2.5 per cent, so an account in the currency of your bank avoids a cost (our page on withdrawals covers the rest).
Deposit limits (daily, weekly or monthly) are set through the support team, an increase takes effect after 24 hours, and the responsible gambling page offers a "cooling-off" of up to six weeks and a six-month "self-exclusion".
Identity checks
The verification in the terms is complete even for an account opened with a very small deposit: an identity document, a proof of address under three months old and proof that the payment account belongs to the player (a copy of the card, a statement or a screenshot of the wallet). The casino may also ask for copies certified by a notary and check the "source of funds". A withdrawal "may not be processed" before the check is complete, so we would advise sending the documents on the day the account is opened, when nothing is at stake, rather than after a win.
For whom, and for whom not
Zodiac suits a newcomer who wants a real account in a licensed group for a very small first deposit (one dollar in the international terms we read on 16 October 2026, an amount that can change by country), who treats the spins as a ticket on the top prize and who plays with his own money rather than chasing a bonus at 200 times.
It does not suit a player reading the entry offer as free money, because the smaller wins of the spins are tied to a condition out of reach on average, nor a table player, for whom bonuses counted at 2 per cent are of little use. A resident of Ontario should read the terms of the Ontario site (30 times on every deposit bonus) before comparing it with other casinos.
Opening an account at Zodiac Casino
If the entry suits you, the link on this page leads to the Zodiac site, where the terms in force for your country are the ones to read before the first deposit, since they can differ from the version we describe. Rand Casinos is paid by the operator when a reader opens an account through that link, one reason why we give no rating.

Questions about Zodiac Casino
What is the minimum first deposit at Zodiac Casino?
The international terms (English version of 20 July 2026), as we read them on 16 October 2026, set it at one dollar, and the Ontario site states the same; the amount can differ by country, so the terms page for your country is the one to check.
Is the Zodiac Casino entry offer a no-deposit bonus?
No. The spins are credited after a first deposit, and whatever they win arrives as bonus funds subject to the play-through, not as cash.
What wagering applies to the Zodiac Casino welcome offer?
The international terms that we read on 16 October 2026 (English version of 20 July 2026) set 200 times on the bonuses of the first and second deposits and 30 times from the third, with slots counting in full and table games at 2 per cent; the Ontario terms set 30 times on every deposit bonus, and the terms of other countries can differ.
Is Zodiac Casino available in Ontario?
Yes, through a separate site, ontario.zodiac.casino, operated by Apollo Entertainment Limited under an AGCO licence and listed by iGaming Ontario.
