Jackpot City review

An old brand is worth what its rules are worth, so we read the terms of Jackpot City version by version and its Alderney licence clause by clause

Our ratingnone, for lack of a direct test (why)

Jackpot City opened in 1998, which is the year Super Group gives on its page for the brand and the date of the oldest copy of jackpotcity.com in the Internet Archive (December 1998); it still trades under that name inside the "Spin" segment of Super Group. Age alone proves little. What a long record can offer is more modest, rules that change slowly and in the open, and this review is built on them.

We have read the registers of the two regulators, the annual report that Super Group filed on Form 20-F on 17 April 2026 and the operator's own pages, which we read in the copies of the Internet Archive since the site does not open from every country. The general terms are those of the copy saved on 6 October 2026, the bonus terms those of the copy of 8 October and the withdrawal policy that of the copy of 26 November 2025 (no direct test, hence no score).

Who runs Jackpot City, and under which licence

The terms name the party to the contract, Baytree Interactive Limited of Guernsey (company 69691), which Super Group lists among its significant subsidiaries as "Licensed with the Kahnawake Gaming Commission" and which the commission's list of permit holders shows against jackpotcitycasino.com. The copy of 6 October prints licence 01059 of 26 August 2026, where earlier copies gave 00892 of February 2022.

The register of the Alderney Gambling Control Commission adds Baytree (Alderney) Limited, which holds a "category 1" licence listing jackpotcitycasino.com and jackpotcity.com. Ontario is a separate case, because the international terms refuse its residents (and, from version 7.9, those of Alberta) while jackpotcity.ca is run by Cadtree Limited, on the operator list of iGaming Ontario. The way these companies fit together is shown on our page on casino groups.

What an Alderney licence changes in practice

The commission defines the category on its site without adjectives: "A Category 1 Licence authorises the organisation and preparation of gambling operations, namely the registration and verification of players, the contractual relationship with them, and the management of player funds". Under the eGambling Regulations of 2009 the company must also be "adequately financed at all times" (regulation 243), and of the three ratios listed, "cash must always exceed player balances" is the one a depositor should remember.

The Alderney entry does not alter the dispute route that the terms set out, because the contract is governed by the laws of the Mohawk Territory of Kahnawake. A formal complaint goes by email within six months, then to eCOGRA as the "ADR" body (alternative dispute resolution) once the internal stage has issued a "Dispute Reference Number", and only then to the Kahnawake Gaming Commission, the regulator named by the version in force (licences).

What sets Jackpot City apart

The terms of Jackpot City are not its own. One text governs seventeen websites of what it calls the "Cityviews Group" (All Slots, Royal Vegas, Spin Casino and Ruby Fortune among them), and because it prints a version number, anyone can compare; we set four versions side by side, 7.5 of 19 May 2025, 7.7 of 25 February 2026, 7.8 of 9 April 2026 and 7.9 of 8 September 2026.

Between the first and the last, the clauses on bonuses, withdrawals and dormant accounts read the same, word for word, while the changes concern the complaints procedure (restructured between versions 7.5 and 7.7), the licence number, the exclusion of Alberta, a recommendation to keep copies of every transaction and a clause against getting round the responsible gambling controls. The bonus terms say "Last Updated: 2023/11/22", the withdrawal policy a date of 2022, and in this trade rules of that age are almost antiques!

Predictable does not mean fixed, since clause 10.1 lets the casino change any rule "without notice". We would advise doing what clause 1.1.16 itself recommends, which is to save a copy of the rules and of every transaction, so that if you ever dispute a decision you hold the text of the day. The version number is the cheapest check there is.

The games

On the size of its catalogue the brand disagrees with itself, with "Over 1000 games" in the footer of the bonus page, "over 1,500" on the "About Us" page and "over 500" on Super Group's page for the brand. The software runs under the user licence of "Apricot" (clause 2.11), the platform of Games Global, formerly Microgaming, and the lobby leans on slots and progressive jackpots.

Clause 7.6 matters more than the size of the lobby to anyone who hopes for a large win, since it sends a player whose withdrawals reach five times the deposits of a lifetime across the group to a "detailed game and play review", with payment in weekly instalments (at the management's discretion). A player who has deposited $1,200 and wins $9,000 on an ordinary slot is past the $6,000 threshold, while a progressive jackpot win is exempt.

The welcome offer, and the condition to read first

Jackpot City's welcome offer is of the commonest type, a match on each of the first deposits with daily spins on a prize wheel, in amounts that vary by country. The condition to read first, in the bonus terms dated November 2023, is the lock on the whole balance: nothing can be withdrawn until the "play-through" (the total of bets that the bonus requires) is met or the "bonus balance" has been played away.

Take a player who deposits $150, receives (for the example) a matching $150 and turns the first hour into a balance of $600. The $600 cannot leave the account; without the bonus it would be cash once the pending period is over. The terms leave a way out, which is in our view the most useful clause of the page: the match is removed on request, by email or live chat, if no play-through has taken place.

Two further rules travel with the offer, a cap on withdrawals after a welcome bonus, set as a multiple of the first deposit and applied "at the discretion of casino management" (progressive wins are exempt), and a further play-through for anyone who has already taken a welcome bonus at a sister casino. The arithmetic is on our page on wagering requirements.

The operators listed on our pages address the international, non-regulated market and do not hold a licence in every country from which our readers arrive: before registering, it is the player's responsibility to check that the law of the country in which he or she is located allows playing with that operator.

Deposits, withdrawals and timings

Every withdrawal stays "pending" for at least twenty-four hours (the policy calls this the "reverse withdrawal period", during which the money can go back into play), and requests made between 05:00 GMT on Thursday and 05:00 GMT on Sunday stay reversible until after 05:00 GMT on Monday. A player who asks for a withdrawal at 18:00 GMT on a Friday waits fifty-nine hours before it even reaches the processing department!

The money returns, where possible, to the method of the deposit (a card deposit goes back to the card), and the policy lists a fee on direct bank transfers below a threshold, $5 under $500 for an account in dollars, so that $300 sent by transfer may cost 1.7 per cent and $100 may cost 5 per cent. Reversing a withdrawal is the temptation that such a design invites (withdrawals).

Identity checks

The withdrawal policy names the moments when documents are likely to be asked for (the first withdrawal, a large one, a change of payment details), and clause 7.1 lists them: a photo identity document, a proof of address no older than six months, proof of ownership of the payment method and, "if applicable", proof of income. For "substantial and/or exceptional" withdrawals, clause 1.6.4.2 asks for notarised copies.

We would advise sending the ordinary documents soon after opening the account, when nothing is waiting, because the policy warns that verification may delay a payment, and a delay that is added to a weekend can push your Friday request well into the following week.

For whom, and for whom not

Jackpot City suits a player who values a long record and slow-moving rules, reads a version number before depositing and plays mostly slots, where a bonus counts in full. In our judgement it is also a case where shared terms help the reader, since what is learnt here applies, clause by clause, to sixteen sister sites.

It does not suit residents of Ontario or Alberta, whom the international terms exclude (Ontario has jackpotcity.ca), nor a player who needs money at the weekend, nor one who wants a bonus and quick access to a win at once; for that player the right move is to refuse the match before the first bet.

Opening an account at Jackpot City

A new account opened from this page earns the site a commission, which leaves the offer and the terms exactly as they would be otherwise, and we would ask two things if you go ahead: to note the version number of the general terms on the day of sign-up, and to decide about the match before the first deposit.
