Under the Criminal Code of Canada only a province may "conduct and manage" gaming (section 207), and advertising a scheme that the province has not authorised is an offence (section 206). In Ontario the operators that may offer online casino games are those registered by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (the "AGCO") and bound by an "operating agreement" with iGaming Ontario, while OLG.ca, the site of the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation, stands apart from that pair, as the province's own site.

This page lists no operators and no links to their sites; it explains how to recognise a registered site, how "self-exclusion" works and where to find help.
How to recognise a registered site
iGaming Ontario publishes, on its page on the regulated igaming market, a directory of every igaming site offered by the regulated operators it has contracted, and it updates the directory whenever a new site is made available. A site missing from that directory is outside the regulated market.
Its brand may be familiar all the same, since many international groups run one site for Ontario (often on a ".ca" address) and another for the rest of the world, which is why you should check the address and not the name before opening an account.
The rules of the AGCO go further than most players realise. Its standards forbid registered operators to work with "affiliates" (sites paid for bringing them players) that also promote unregistered sites open to players in Ontario. They also confine the advertising of bonuses and other "inducements" to the operator's own site and to direct marketing that a player has consented to, which is one more reason for a site like ours, whose links lead to international casinos, to show readers in the province nothing but this page and the addresses of the regulator.
Self-exclusion
Since 14 May 2026 Ontario has had a centralised tool, BetGuard, which iGaming Ontario runs under standards set by the AGCO: it lets a person self-exclude, in one step, from all regulated online gambling sites in Ontario, for periods fixed in advance. In our view a single request that reaches every registered site at once is worth far more than the separate requests that a player would otherwise have to send, one operator at a time, in the very weeks when sending them costs the most effort!
The operators' own tools (deposit limits, "time-outs" and the self-exclusion of a single account) come on top of BetGuard; none of them reaches a site outside the regulated market, however strict its own rules may look.
